You need to know your barriers before you can overcome them!

Over the years I have seen many people with a wide variety of chronic condition such as diabetes and hypertension and many say, "I just can't seem to get start exercising regularly" or "It's so hard to be more physically active and exercise!"

In order to deal with these issues, and believe me, they plague the majority of people, you must identify what are your barriers so that you can then deal with each one and develop a strategy to overcome them.

So here we go... Which one of these, is a barrier you identify with:

  • I don't have enough time

  • Too inconvenient

  • I don't enjoy it

  • I'm not good at it

  • I'm afraid to get hurt

  • I got hurt and don't want to get hurt again

  • I get bored too quickly

  • Since I am not fit, I just avoid exercising

  • I'm just never in the mood

  • I'm too tired

  • Lack of facilities

  • Weather makes it difficult

This is a general list of the most common barriers... think about what is preventing you from engaging in physical activity and why you are not exercise more?!

NEXT, I will give you tips on how to overcome your barrier(s) now that know what they are...
